Join us for a transformative yoga retreat at this tranquil river-side haven in the Scottish Highlands. With amazing views of  Loch Awe and unique indoor and outdoor spa facilities.

The bathing opportunities here are like nothing you have experienced before!

What you can expect from your yoga holiday...

Between yoga classes make the most of the fabulous bathing opportunities and roam the surrounding countryside with it's rivers, streams and hills as well as the beautiful Loch that dominates your view and is just a few minutes from the retreat centre.

Incredible baths dotted throughout the unspoiled location...

From the Japanese inspired sentō bathing dome and the hobbit-like submerged sauna to the completely private outdoor bathing opportunities, that have you soaking your bones in deep baths next to a waterfall!!

All bathing facilities follow the natural flow of the river and are powered by 100% renewable energy. The water used is from their own private spring - a wonderful 'soft' water that leaves the skin soft and shiny.

Spa dome with hot tub - Inspired by the ancient purification rites of Japanese bathing, the sentō dome offers rainforest showers and a hot tub that comfortably sits half a dozen people. Set within a geodesic glass dome filled with natural light, this is a wonderful spot for hot soaks in all weather and offers a sensual feeling of well-being and harmony.

Artisan Sauna - Follow the river from the sento dome and you find yourself at the artisan sauna, built with sustainable Scottish Douglas fir wood, with its own natural spring water plunge pool. The sauna can be reached via a few steps or a secret passage..!

Upper Gorge Bath - Just below the sauna the river pours past the Upper Gorge Bath. Built into the rock, with hot and cold running spring water, this beautiful bath offers you the perfect opportunity to scrub, soak and contemplate, or just dream...

Lower Gorge Bath - Here, where the river plunges into a natural gorge and joins the mighty Liever River, lies the Lower Gorge Bath. This deep bathtub - that easily fits two- has piped hot and cold water, and stands on a solid wooden platform overlooking a waterfall. Draw yourself an afternoon or evening bath that you will never forget. Alternate a hot soak with a wild river swim - the ultimate luxury wild swim!

Mouthwatering organic vegetarian food...

The food here really is outstanding. Vegetarian and vegan feasts are prepared by resident and visiting chefs, with wide, colourful selections of delicious dishes to charm the heart and melt the resolve of even the staunchest meat-eater. EcoYoga food comes straight from the organic garden when in season. Huge buffet brunches and fabulous dinners are supplemented by delicious hearty lunchtime soups, fresh bread, warm from the oven and snacks (including eggs from Ecoyoga's own very free range hens) available in the communal kitchen. They even have a fantastic barista style coffee machine!

Fabulous energising yoga with one of the UK's best teachers...

In the fabulous yoga studio that overlooks the waterfall, you will be guided through two wonderful daily classes; a mix of creative vinyasa flow yoga, pranayama, detailed workshop instruction, partner work, guided meditation and restorative work. Naomi's classes are a potent celebration of the flow of life - a creative, strong yet graceful dance, where laughter, joy, love humility and gratitude are all key elements.  The 60sqm studio has underfloor heating and a wonderful energy. During Śavāsana your body can melt into the warmth of the floor whilst the mind is gently soothed by the sounds of the nearby waterfalls.

...and luxurious eco-accommodation with super king sized beds and views to die for.

The ecoYoga Centre has 13 cosy double bedrooms with luxurious super king-size beds, a sofa, and table in a sunny windowed lobby, or views to the river, 10 of these have ensuite toilet and sink and three have shared facilities. There is also a yurt with 3 single beds.

Set in magnificent Scottish scenery; hills, lochs, rivers, forests and waterfalls, this fabulous retreat is totally off-grid. Powered by a hydro turbine and a large bank of solar panels, there is nothing to interrupt the sound of water and birdsong, except perhaps spontaneous excursions to the famous Kilmartin Glen standing stone circles and local beaches. At night the skies are alive with millions of stars.

Your yoga teacher - Naomi Absalom

Naomi Absalom

Authentic and kind, Naomi is an inspiring teacher. Her dynamic classes express her love for playfulness and creativity within movement, her passion for music as well as her interest in form and alignment. She focuses on strong, controlled and mindful transitions so that every moment is felt and processed.

18 years of self-practice and a 13 years of teaching, as well as training in Thai Yoga massage, inform her intuitive hands-on adjustments. Inspired by the power of community, Naomi aims to create a safe and nurturing environment where each individual connects to the presenting current of energy to become part of something much greater than themselves.

Deeply passionate about teaching yoga, she leads mentoring sessions for teachers across the UK so they may learn their art from a place of integrity and apprenticeship. Greatly indebted to the profound philosophical teachings of Sivananda which form the heart and soul of not only everything she teaches but her journey through life, Naomi’s love for the magical alchemy of vinyasa underpins her ever-evolving teaching.

These days she is less interested in the shape of asana, instead encouraging fluidity and creativity which is underpinned by new discoveries in anatomy and fascia as well as sacred ceremony. There is always a strong focus on the energy body and the nervous system, always devotional chanting and mantra, always a movement towards freedom for all.

Naomi currently teaches busy group classes at some of London’s top studios including Triyoga, Indaba Yoga and Union Station Yoga. She is well known for her passionate delivery and ability to hold space for all those present regardless of perceived ability.
