Jim Tarran

Yoga alliance Senior Yoga Teacher (SYT) Jim Tarran has been practicing yoga since 1990; graduating from the Patanjali yoga school in Kathmandu in 1992, and the Iyengar school in 1996. In 2016 he was one of the very few teachers listed by name in the Top 20 Yoga Retreats in the World (The Times).

He founded the Vajrasati school www.vajrasatiyoga.co.uk and teacher training program in 2000. Vajrasati is a well-established and growing school of yoga, with 50 teachers in the UK.

Jim uses the tools of yoga to fund a deeper connection to life. His popular classes across Brighton and the South-East are known for their humour, humanity and depth.

25 years experience in the yoga world, including fifteen years running yoga teacher-training courses, have given Jim real insight into the yogi's journey and he has developed a real gift for enabling students of all levels to really engage with their practice.

With over 50 international retreats behind him, Jim knows that the mark of a great trip is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living; a re-establishing of the harmony between self and universe. He has never failed to be inspired by the beauty and wonder of the people he encounters.
