What you can expect from your yoga holiday...

A wonderfully chilled and enchanting yoga retreat with delicious fresh food, delightful accommodation - either back to nature with a touch of luxury in the tipis and mepods, or with cosy Andalucian charm in the finca- and first-class yoga tuition on a fabulous yoga platform with views stretching right across the valley.

Valle De Vida

Sleep... close to nature without compromising on comfort in a luxury tipi or me pod (5.5m diameter solid domed structures) - all with tiled floors, electricity and beautiful bedding. Alternatively opt for a room in El Romero, the elegantly restored Andalucian finca.

Wake up... to the sounds of nature and panoramic views across the valley with morning tea or coffee and fruit, then  meet the day, re-invigorate, and relax into the present moment with two hours of awakening yoga whilst a delicious wholesome breakfast is being prepared by our resident chef, Amanda.

Yoga... Khadine's teaching style is calming and focused with particular attention given to breath awareness and cultivation and recognition of energy and inner state of being. She uses dynamic and restorative (and a whole range in-between!) postures to bring us towards yoga.

Khadine’s classes will explore all aspects of the yoga path including meditation (dhyana), body-work (asana), chanting (mantra) and breathing practces (pranayama).

Valle De Vida

Relax into long and leisurely days...

Chat with friends old and new by the pool, walk in the mountains, go horse riding, read a book under the shade of an olive tree, sketch and paint, experience world class mountain biking, or just relax in the sun.

Healing treatments... Valle de Vida also offer a range of treatments from osteopathy and acupuncture to reflexology and shiatsu, all overseen by Robi Persad, one of London’s leading Osteopaths and owner of a hugely popular and well-respected London practice.

One soak in the hydrotherapy pool and two steam room/sauna sessions are included in the price of your trip. Contact us for a full treatments price list.

On the hill-top platform, the evening yoga sessions will be deep and blissful, allowing the magic of this retreat to settle into our bodies.

Delicious wholesome food... as the sun drops behind the mountains a delicious feast awaits us. Nights are star filled and beautiful. Share stories and laughter over a juice or a glass of wine, star-gaze from a hammock or indulge in a moonlit dip in the hydrotherapy tub. We’ll even have an open air poolside cinema night!

There are a few cats and dogs at the retreat centre. They are very friendly and are all rescue animals. They are not allowed in the house, but it is difficult to keep them out of the Tipis and geodesic domes. Therefore, if you have a problem with cats or dogs then this may not be the retreat for you.

Yoga with Khadine Morcom

Khadine Morcom

"I came to yoga 18 years ago via a meditation course. The very first class I attended felt like I had found me! I knew that I was going to practice yoga from that moment on. From those very first classes I became calmer, my head became clearer and I became happier. It didn't take long for my yoga practice to become a daily ritual for me as I felt the benefits in body, mind and spirit.

I traveled to India for 6 months in 2003 and spent time exploring yoga in more depth, spending time at the Yoga Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh and practicing with many teachers all over India.  During this period I felt inspired and I really started to connect with yoga philosophy beyond just the physical asana practice.  It also affirmed my desire to teach so on returning to the UK I trained with Jim Tarran (my teacher of several years and the founder of Vajrasati yoga) in the Vajrasati School of yoga and started teaching in 2004 and became fully qualified (Yoga Alliance 500 hours) in 2006.

I am now a designated Senior Teacher of the Vajrasati school and within this role I assist on the Vajrasati teacher training course. As I believe yoga is a constant journey of learning, I have furthered my development by returning to India for deeper study and I continue to train through attending workshops and retreats and training with other teachers such as Cathy-Mae Karelse, Judith Lasater, Sarah Powers, Donna Farhi and Paul Grilley. I look forward to welcoming you on one of my retreats." Khadine

Flights

Malaga International airport (AGP) is easily accessible via non-stop flights from over 100 European cities. Direct flights also operate from Africa, the Middle East and also North America in the summer season. We are happy to advise on flights.

Transfers at set times (usually for flight arrival times of 11am and 4pm on the first day of the retreat and for flight departure times of around midday on the last day) can be organised for about €50 return per person. The retreat centre is down a long track that taxis won't travel so transfers outside these times will be more expensive.
